State Bank of India has invited online applications for recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) in the clerical cadre. Candidates can apply for vacancies in one State/UT only. For Assam, the specified local languages are Assamese, Bengali and Bodo. Candidates must be proficient in the opted local language as prescribed in the advertisement. The selection process consists of Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Local Language Proficiency Test, wherever applicable.

Eligibility

  • Candidate must be an eligible Indian Citizen.
  • Candidate must be between 20 and 28 years of age as on 01-04-2026, subject to applicable age relaxation.
  • Candidate must possess a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised University.
  • Candidates appearing in the final year/semester of graduation may apply provisionally, subject to fulfilling the prescribed condition by 31-12-2026.
  • Candidate can apply for vacancies in one State/UT only.
  • Candidate must be proficient in the specified opted local language of the State/UT applied for.
  • For Assam, the specified local languages are Assamese, Bengali and Bodo.
  • Candidates who studied the specified local language in Class 10 or 12 and produce the relevant mark sheet/certificate are exempted from the Local Language Proficiency Test.
  • Candidates currently working in SBI clerical cadre are not eligible.
  • Candidates previously employed in SBI who resigned while in clerical cadre are not eligible.

Qualifications

  • Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University.
  • Equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government is also eligible.
  • Final year/semester graduation candidates may apply provisionally.
  • Final year/semester candidates must produce proof of passing graduation on or before 31-12-2026 if provisionally selected.
