The Mizoram Public Service Commission (MPSC) has invited online applications for Direct Recruitment Examination to the post of Soil Conservation Ranger under the Land Resources, Soil & Water Conservation Department, Government of Mizoram. A total of 5 vacancies are available for the Group ‘B’ (Gazetted) post. The post carries Level-7 in the Pay Matrix. Eligible candidates can apply through the MPSC online portal up to 31 August 2026 by 4:00 PM.

Eligibility

  • Educational Qualification:
  • Degree in Forestry or Agriculture or Agriculture Engineering or Horticulture or Science from a recognised University.
  • Computer Proficiency:
  • Computer proficiency as prescribed by the Mizoram Group ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ Posts Service/Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023.
  • Age Limit:
  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 35 years
  • Age is calculated as on 1 August 2026.
  • Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for ST/SC candidates or as may be notified by the Government from time to time.
  • Mizo Language Proficiency:
  • Candidates must achieve the pass mark in the qualifying test of Mizo Language Proficiency as prescribed by the Government.
  • Candidates who studied Mizo subject at Class X standard (HSLC) or above within Mizoram, or opted for Mizo subject as MIL outside Mizoram, are exempted from taking the qualifying test paper.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Forestry or Agriculture or Agriculture Engineering or Horticulture or Science from a recognised University.
  • Computer proficiency as prescribed under the applicable Mizoram Group ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ Posts Service/Recruitment rules.
  • The selected candidate shall successfully complete Forest Ranger Training from a recognised institution within the probation period.
